Baptisms

*Flash back Friday* To when we did baptisms in Kenya for the first time. Our @crossroadsca team baptized over 250 people/students. This was something that we were praying about for 2 years. The thoughts and doubts were …, “How can we baptize people when they live in a 3rd world country and water is so precious to them? Where and how can we do this?” Well in 2012 it finally became REAL!! We took an inflatable pool (that we blew up by mouth, because who needs electricity), and had water provided by our schools water well. God had it ALL planned out.

Being apart of this experience is beyond words that I can express with an overwhelming amount of emotions. We were able to see the Word of God being fulfilled and come to life in front of our eyes. “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, BAPTIZING them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”

Baptisms are HUGE out in Kenya. When you get baptized, you will get a certificate from the Government stating that you have been baptized. In Kiamaiko where our school is located, the community is mostly Muslim. During the baptisms, the community on the other side of the school gate did not support the baptisms we were doing. They were yelling and throwing things over the gate....DID THAT STOP US??? NO!! Not only did we make THAT gate shake....but we made the GATES OF HELL SHAKE!!

43 more days….Check out my Group Rev page and help support me raise the rest of my funds. Asante Sana
