BEAUTIFUL TIMES

Hello My Family & Friends,

I AM BACK HOME FROM KENYA!!! Its been about a week or so…. and I would do anything to go back and experience it all over again. So let me start by sharing with you my experiences this year in Kenya.

Out of all the times I have been to Kenya, this was by far the most spiritually, physically, emotionally, & mentally draining trips yet. For 2 weeks we did nothing but go, go, go, go to glorify and do His work out in Kenya.

There is so much that happened in those 2 weeks, that it is so overwhelming to even write about right now. To add on to that, being Co-Leader on this team was a joy BEYOND what I could even imagine. I don’t think there are words to express how much I absolutely LOVED having this role and being able to work along side the most amazing leader and Man of God, and that is Ernie Mitchison. Being able to build up a team of 45 people and training them, physically, mentally, spiritually, and emotionally, prior to going for about 6 months and then guiding, directing, and leading them in a place I call “Home” was so overwhelming to my heart!

I have never seen or experienced the Lord the way I did, this year in Kenya. After returning for my 5th time, I never knew that the love I have for that county could GROW even MORE…BUT IT DID…. TREMENDOUSLY!!! I never knew that my PASSION for this country could get even deeper then it was already… BUT THERE WAS SO MUCH MORE!! I didn’t know or think it was possible, but yet God showed me a DEEPER love for His people and country that continues to grow.

To top that all off, seeing the WORD OF GOD come to life in front of MY EYES is something I will NEVER forget! For the past 2 years I have been praying that we can fulfill what the word of God says in Matthew 28, and WE DID! We went into ALL NATIONS and made DICIPLES, and then we BAPZIZED them in the Name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit! I cant express to you in words what an overwhelming experience that was.

I wanted to share with you ALL the amazing work this year’s Kenya Team did to glorify Our Father in Heaven. WE DEFINITELY SHOOK THE GATES OF HELL!

From washing each others feet….to seeing my boy Felix…Seeing Felix’s mom and finding out she is 9 months pregnant….leading Muslims to Christ….BAPTIZING….giving Felix brand new uniform shoes and socks…seeing my girls at the Joska Boarding School, and baptizing them…doing VBS at 3 different schools….giving medical care…giving out 145 toothbrushes to kids who don’t have them….providing a Well to the school we worked at in the Mara…and worshiping under the stars with my team in the Mara….this is only a glimpse of everything….AND THERE’S SO MUCH MORE!

 The 2012 Kenya Team:

·      Baptized 12 Adult from the Kiamaiko Community
·      Baptized 131 Girls at the Joska Boarding School
·      17 of them gave there lives to Christ and then we baptized them
·      Baptized 108 Boys at the Joska Boarding School
·      Dr. Don & the Medical Team saw and gave medical care to 834 Adults and Children
·      We did Bring In The Light to 25 Homes in the slums of a Muslim community
·      12 people excepted Christ
·      Evangelized to 50 people

With that I hope you can see through pictures (soon to come) the experiences of this year’s trip.

If you haven’t already, please check out the Kenya Team Blog that each team member wrote while in country.

Family & Friends…..as my support and prayer team I ask that you can join me in prayer this year as to where God is leading and taking me next with Kenya. Being a short-term missionary is the most incredible gift that God has given me, and I pray that I can continue doing this in the years ahead, but possibly staying out in Kenya for a little longer and using my gifts that He gave me to Glorify His Kingdom is something that God is placing on my heart. Thank you for joining me in prayer with this. I am so excited to see where God is taking me next!
